1st vegan picnic of '09 - Sat 31st January PDF Print E-mail

Dear SA Vegan Society members,

The 31st of this month is the World Day for the Abolition of Meat.

In solidarity with this noble cause, which will be supported by vegan groups around the world, the SA Vegan Society invites you all to a picnic at Emmarentia Park in Emmarentia, JHB from 12PM until sunset. Bring some vegan food and drink, or anything else you'd like to share (please don't bring anything non-vegan) and come hang out with fellow vegans and assorted interesting people.

All vegan-friendly and vegan-curious folk are welcome. In fact, if you're considering veganism, or know someone who is, Saturday might also be a great time to take The Vegan Society Pledge: http://www.vegansociety.com/people/lifestyle/pledge/

Oh, and we'll have some juices and solar-cooked food available for those of you unable to bring your own, so don't worry if you're a terrible chef or can't think of anything to bring along :-)

Where: We'll be setting up next to the water, a little way down the path that leads from the main entrance to Emmarentia Dam on Olifants Rd. If you get lost, give us a shout on 082 557 3912, or just keep an eye out for the sexiest, happiest, healthiest bunch of folk in the park ;-)

PS: This will be the first of our monthly picnics for 2009 :-)

PPS: You can join the SA Vegan Society Facebook group at: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=33278911692

Hope to see you there!
